Item Value setting Description
Packet Analyzer
On/Off setting
When Enable is checked
It means that Packet Analyzer will start to capture packets after
clicking Save .
When Enable is not checked
It means that Packet Analyzer will stop to capture packets after
clicking Save .
File Name
1. Optional setting
2. If no name is given, the file
name by default is
< Interface >_< Date >_< index > .
Define the output filename. If left blank the device automatically
assigns a name in the format of < File Name >_< index > .pcap
Split Files
1.Optional setting
2.The default value of File
Size is 200 KB.
3. NOTE that File Size can not
be less than 4 KB
When Enable is checked
It means that if the current output file reaches the specific size, it
will open a new file to save packets.
User can change File Size and Unit when Enable is checked.
Packet Interfaces
Optional setting
Define which interface that Packet Analyzer should work on.
Multiple selection is accepted, but user can only select the one
which is active.
WAN : When the WAN is enable at Physical Interface , it can be
selected here.
ASY : This means the COM port interface. It is used to capture
packets appearing in Communication Bus applications. Therefore,
it can only be selected when Communication Bus is enable.
VAP : This means the virtual AP device. When WIFI and AP are
enable, it can be selected here.
Save
N/A Click the Save button to save the configuration.
Undo
N/A
Click the Undo button to restore what you just configured back to
the previous setting. Please note that the restored setting may not
be the factory default setting but a retrieve of what was saved in
the memory.
