Introduction
The TD1275PSU is a 12Vdc power supply designed to power single colour LED tape and strip
with the added function of being able to control the light output when connected to mains
power via a standard TRIAC dimmer (leading edge type). This enables the LED tape or strip to
be smoothly dimmed or brightened in the same way other light fittings can using the same
mains control method. The TD1275PSU can otherwise just be used as a normal 12Vdc driver.
Setting up
Connect mains 200-240Vac to the
“
Mains In
”
terminals via a TRAIC dimmer or direct.
NOTE: THIS LED DRIVER MUST BE EARTHED.
Connect 12V single colour LED tape to the
“
12Vdc Out
”
terminals
Note: the connections may be soldered directly to tape or via a connector.
Ensure correct polarity and connect tape which will draw no more than 75W (6.25A)
For longer runs of tape, an LED amplifier/repeater can be used to deliver power to extensions.
Where an LED amplifier/repeater has 3 channels (for RGB tape), treat each channel as one
single colour output.
