– Allow the motor to operate for five to ten sec-
onds.
Starting the device (warm)
– Push the On/Off switch (4) to "I".
– Set the choke lever (1) to the
position.
– Pull the starter cord (8) several times until the
motor starts.
Switching-off the tool
– Operate the motor in idle for a few seconds.
– Push the On/Off switch (4) to "0".

– Remove coarse dirt with a brush.
– Wipe the tool with a damp cloth.
– Regularly empty the collection bag and clean as
required.

– Undo the screw (18) and remove the lid (19) from
the filter housing.
– Remove the air filter, wash thoroughly and leave
to dry.
• Use water with cleaning agent for this task.
– Lightly oil the air filter with oil.
– Replace the air filter again.
– Replace the lid (19) back on the filter housing
and secure with the screw (18).

– Carefully remove the lid (21) using a suitable tool
inserted into the groove (20).
– Remove the spark plug connector (22).
– Rotate the spark plug in an anti-clockwise direc-
tion to remove.
– Check the electrode for discolouration.
• Standard colour: light brown
– Check electrode spacing.

– Remove sooty deposits from the electrode with
a wire brush.
– Replace the cleaned or a fresh spark plug and
turn clockwise to tighten.
– Affix the spark plug (22) connector to the spark
plug.
– Replace the lid (21) back on the device.

Danger of fire!
Switch the device off
fully to cleaning and allow to cool
down for a few minutes. Hot motor
parts may lead to serious injuries.
Device damage!
The device should
never be operated without an air filter,
as this may cause damage to the
motor.

Before carrying out
any work on the device, switch off the
motor and allow to cool down.

Only use wire
brushes with brass bristles to clean the
spark plug. Any other bristle type will
damage the electrode! Only screw the
spark plug into place when the motor
is cold. Use the prescribed spark plug
type (see
).
