Remember!
•
Do not wear loose long hair, loose clothing or jewellery, which could become caught
up in moving parts of the tool and cause injuries and clothing damages.
•
A switched-on tool may be directed towards the work material only. Loose parts may
disunite and cause damages. A person or an object may become in contact with the
tool, which could cause an accident or material loses.
•
Cold or wet hands, smoking and snivel may increase vibration caused hazards.
•
Let the tool operate and by holding the handle use the least possible force. If possible,
the tool should be supported on a stable support block.
•
Interruption of work should be ensured or another kind of work, not involving use
of vibrating tools should be alternatively performed, in order to reduce the harmful
influence caused by the vibration.
•
Ensure that the workplace is well lit
Important information
Tools must be lubricated
Before use always lubricate the tool with a few drops of oil AIRTOIL 22 (Luna 15531-
0105) intended for use with pneumatic tools, by dropping it into the air inlet opening
of the tool. In case of continuous work, a pneumatic lubrication system (Luna 20571-
0106) should be used, adjusted to about two drops per minute. If the tool is not used
for a longer period of time, it is required to drop a few drops of oil before storage of
the tool, in order to reduce the corrosion risk.
Attention! Use only oil that is supposed for pneumatic tools. Use of other oils may
result in “clumping” of oil and reduction of the movement ability of the machine. It
may cause reduced work efficiency.
Leakages must be avoided
Avoid leakages in the air circulation system. Always use a thread sealing tape at the
point where the plug is connected to the tool. Pay attention that hoses and hose clamps
are in good conditions.
The compressed air must be dry
As cleaner and dryer the compressed air is, the longer is life time of the tool. In order
to ensure it, we recommend use of air filter, which removes water from the compres-
sed air, accordingly reducing eventual damages of the tool and connections caused by
corrosion. Remember to remove eventual water condensate from the compressor tank
and the compressed air supply system before each working day.
Instructions
•
Under no circumstances a defective screwdriver or chuck bits can be used as it
may cause injuries and material loses.
•
Before use, please, take the plastic cork out of air inlet (Pos. 5) and assemble a
male nipple 1/4”. Be sure the drill chuck is properly assembled.
•
Before switching on the tool and connecting the compressed air system – the drill
bit must always be properly fastened in the chuck (Pos. 1). A loose drill bit could
disunite from the chuck and cause injuries or material loses.
•
Air pressure should be checked and if necessary be adjust, in order to make the
air drill work with correct rotation speed. The pressure is adjusted with the help of
the compressor regulator or by a separate assembled pressure regulator.
The rotation speed is adjusted by means of the speed control (Pos. 3).
Tools parameters are indicated at pressure of 6.2 bars.
•
To quickly return after the drilled hole or if the drill bit gets stuck, press the
control (Pos. 2) to change direction of rotation.
•
In order to achieve better work result, always use perfectly sharpened drill bits.
Never press drill bits in the working material harder or less hard than provide by
the maximum force of the drill bit rotation.
•
The air drill must always be disconnected from the compressed air supply, when
replacing drill bits. It will allow avoid eventual accident, which could be caused
by unintentional touch of the lever (Pos. 6) and start the chuck rotation when
replacing a core bit.
•
Lubricate machine bevel gear 1-2 times pes year in typical use with infended
grease through the nipple (Pos. 7).
•
Always be careful when using the air drill. A negligent attitude towards the tool
may cause damages of the internal parts and housing fractures. It may result in
reduction of the tool efficiency and the tool may loose its capacity.
Maintenance
: Lubrication is essential as it ensures a low noise and vibration level. In
case of continuous use of the machine it should be cleaned and checked at least twice
a year.
