Before First Use
Place the electric blanket on your mattress. The controller
(1)
should be near the head of the bed.
Ensure that the heating wires
(5)
do not extend under the pillows
or hang over the sides of the mattress.
Smooth any folds or wrinkles.
Secure the electric blanket to the mattress using the fitted skirt.
The power cord
(4)
and controller
(1)
must be kept outside the
bedding and away from external heating sources such as heaters
and lamps.
Before using your electric blanket for the first time, it is
recommended that you set the controller
(1)
on
3
for two hours to
evaporate any moisture in the mattress. Repeat this process every
few months to maintain a dry, healthy bed.
There might occur some odour during first time use. This is normal
due to production residues.
Using the Blanket
Connect the power plug
(6)
to a suitable outlet.
Ensure the controller
(1)
is set to
0
before plugging in.
Select the desired heat setting on the controller
(1)
. The indicator
lamp
(2)
indicates that the electric blanket is on.
The settings on the controller
(1)
are recommended for use as follows:
0
Off: Set to
0
when the heat is no longer required.
1
Low heat: gentle heat for all night use.
2
medium heat
3
High heat: for preheating only.
0
Off: Set to
0
when the heat is no longer required.
Only use the high heat settings to preheat your bed, and then
reduce the heat setting to medium or low heat. Do not sleep with
your blanket on high heat for more than 30 minutes.
It is not recommended that you sleep on any electric blanket whilst
it is still operating. Turn the blanket off before sleeping or when
the heat is no longer required.
