1. Is the signal between the camera and the receiver encrypted?
The signal between the camera and the receiver is not encrypted and is not possible to encrypt.
To capture the signal someone else has to be within the range of the camera with a receiver that
operates on the same frequency.
2. What does a clear “line of sight” mean?
With a clear line of sight it is meant that no objects (walls, trees etc.) can be found between the
camera and the receiver. Metal substantially weakens the signal.
3. Why does the picture quality decrease when the camera or LCD-monitor is in motion?
When driving the car and trailer is in constant movement and small disturbances might
appear in the picture. This is due to the fact that the signal towards the receiver is constantly
transmitted from different angles. This is considered normal in wireless transmissions.
4. Is the camera water resistant?
The camera in your trailerCam-solution is classed as IP66. This means that the camera is well
protected from both dust and humidity. It is capable of being placed outside when raining or in
damp environments such as trailers.
5. Is it possible to add extra cameras to my trailerCam solution?
It is possible to add cameras to your trailerCam-solution. Contact LUDA Elektronik for further

6. What do I do if I have bad reception on the LCD-monitor?
Start by reading through the troubleshooting chapters (8 and 9). Temporary interference is
considered normal in wireless transmissions. If you have very bad reception, visit
www.trailercam-europe.com for the latest news on range extending equipment.
7. Can I use the trailerCam whilst driving?
The monitor should not be operated or viewed by the driver of the vehicle, whilst driving and
must not be mounted in a position which could distract the driver. When travelling, the system
should only be operated and viewed by passengers in the vehicle.
