Cleaning the pump:
Clean the Lucky-Kitty
®
Cat Drinking Fountain pump at
least once a week. Your cat will always have clean water
and you will extend the service life of the pump.
Always pull out the power plug before doing any
work!
For decalcifying the pump, please use only very dilute
solutions and lukewarm water. Harsh cleansers and very
hot water can damage the pump‘s rubber feet. As a con-
sequence, the feet may no longer correctly adhere to the
lower bowl, and the proper functioning of the Lucky-Kitty
®
Cat Drinking Fountain will be compromised, which will void
the warranty.
Please make sure that the small pump propeller is pulled
out of the pump – as described below – in order to clean
the opening thoroughly!

Open the side cover of the pump (with a finger nail or
carefully with a small screwdriver or a dull knife).

Also remove the second black propeller covering
underneath it.

Pull the small green propeller from its magnet bracket.
(It works very well e.g. with the help of tweezers or
a paper clip, or with the handle of our cleaning brush
(not included in the contents of the fountain)).

Clean the pump thoroughly under warm running
water (not too hot, since the pump and suction feet
may become deformed). Pay particular attention to
the opening in which the propeller has been placed
– there must not be any dirt or limescale deposits in
it or on the propeller’s magnet! Then reassemble the
pump in the reverse order (also don’t forget the
elbow fitting).

Cleaning the drinking fountain:
Before cleaning the ceramic bowl, please always remove
the pump from the lower and upper bowls. Also remove
the silicone ring.
The Lucky-Kitty
®
Cat Drinking Fountain is made of
ceramics and has a glazed and high-fired surface. As a
result, the upper and lower bowls, like your dishes, are
dishwasher-safe and extremely easy to clean. Please note
that the foam rubber feet may come off in the dishwasher.
As an alternative, you can also wash the drinking fountain
with a soft sponge and soap-containing cleaning agent.
You can treat calcifications best with a decalcifier with a citric
acid base.
Please note: the Lucky-Kitty

Cat Drinking Fountain is
durable but not unbreakable. Please treat it with the
necessary care.
Additional care of the fountain:
With the tube set, which includes a cleaning brush and
three replacement tubes (not included in the contents of
the fountain), you will have, in the long run, a practical
and hygienic supplement to your Lucky-Kitty
®
Cat Drinking
Fountain. With the cleaning brush, you can clean out the
inside of the tubes easily and quickly and thus ensure
optimum cleanliness also in places that are difficult to
reach. Simply push the brush into the inside of the tube
and brush back and forth several times – and you’re
done. Deposits are thus very easily removed. For stubborn
residues inside the tube, dip the brush before using it into
a little mild vinegar-based cleaning agent and then rinse
off thoroughly with fresh water.
