WaveLAN/EC-S User’s Guide

Access via the Reset/Config Button

When your WaveLAN/EC-S device is connected via a serial cable,
you can use the Reset/Config button (pictured in Figure 4-1) to
open the built-in configuration program of your WaveLAN/EC-S
device.

This option requires that the WaveLAN/EC-S device is connected
to a computer that runs a terminal emulation program, such as
ProComm, HyperTerminal or Telix.

NOTE:

When your WaveLAN/EC-S device is connected via a
10Base-T Ethernet cable you can not use this option.

To access the configuration of your WaveLAN/EC-S device using
the Reset/Config button, proceed as follows:

1.

Use the RS-232 cable to connect the WaveLAN/EC-S device
to your computer.

2.

Power up the WaveLAN/EC-S device and your computer.

3.

Next start the terminal emulation program.

4.

Display the communication parameters of your terminal
emulation program (also referred to as “properties”).
