8.30 Fire Mode
Fire mode is used in case of an emergency to operate the inverter to extract smoke

outdoors in traffic tunnels, subway stations, stairwells, etc
When Fire mode is activated the inverter ignores all internal faults and motor protecting

features to keep the motor running.
Few fatal faults is not ignored as it can cause secondary explosion in a critical situation.


On receipt of a digital fire input, the drive will run with following conditions.

a) Regardless of preset control method such as PID mode, the inverter switches to V/f
control automatically.
b) The preset command frequency will be ignored and the inverter will run at A42_Fire
Mode Freq. The fire mode frequency has the highest priority even over Jog operation.
c) The acceleration and deceleration time is fixed as 10 seconds and it is not changeable
d) the following faults or trips will be ignored and not displayed.
- Inverter overload, Overload trip, Cooling fan fault, Electronic thermal, External fault
A/B contact input,
- Frequency command loss, Input/Output phase loss, Instantaneous output cut-off,
Parameter save error, BX trip.
e) There is no limitation of on the number of attempts the inverter restarts.
