5.2.6.ENVIRONMENTAL SENSORS 

PACKAGE 

 
The environmental sensors package is an optional system for the FG5.  Therefore, 
if there is a major failure, it is possible to continue observations.  Occasionally, 
the operator can obtain temperature and pressure data from an alternate source.  
If the pressure data is accurate enough ( 

±

 1 mb or better), local barometric 

pressure attraction corrections accurate to better than one 

µ

Gal can still be 

computed and applied during post processing.  Possible problems and solutions 
pertaining to the environmental sensors package are shown in Table 5-6.
