On the monitoring screen, adapt the target values to the patient’s clinical situation:

An adaptive security ventilation mode is active during the SBT manoeuvre. This

feature supplements the ventilation within the cycle time in the event of missed

spontaneous breaths; audible alarms are not released in these situations. Before

activating the SBT, adjust the cycle time and the required pressure difference (Pin

sp SBT) to the clinical situation. When necessary, pressure support (PS SBT) can

be added during an SBT manoeuvre.

Beginning and end of the most recent SBT are displayed in the upper left hand

corner of the SBT Workbench.

(recommended: automatic start of P0.1, interval of

Adjust adaptive security ventilation

- Cycle time

- Pinsp SBT

- PS SBT if applicable

Activate SBT (= ON)

SBT starts automatically when all target values

remain in the target range for 5 minutes.
