Effects Loop
The Effects Loop of the Stage 20 Triple is more versatile than just about any other effcts loop that we know of and has
features that are unique to Lovell amplifiers. With the two Loop Function Switches, the loop can be programmed to switch
itself on or off while switching to either channel. Or, it can be as well programmed to be controlled independently via the
second footswitch button for either channel.
Boost mode:
When nothing is plugged into the Return Jack, the jack is earthed internally. This means that there is "zero"
signal presented to the return part of the loop circuit. When the loop is switched on in this condition, we can mix the "zero"
signal with the dry signal thus achieving a reduction in volume without changing the tone. With the Blend control all the way
anti-clockwise, there is 0% ("zero") of the signal and 100% dry signal; therefore no attenuation. With the belnd knob in the
center position, there is a 50/50 mix, and therefore a 50% reduction of the dry signal. When the loop is switched off, the
level returns to 100% of the channels level setting, acting as a "boost".
Front Panel
Ch1 Loop Function Switch:
The upper position will switch on the loop when channel 1 is selected.
In the centre position the loop can be switched on and off via the second footswitch button. The down position will switch
off the loop automatically when channel 1 is selected.
Ch2 Loop Function Switch:
The upper position will switch on the loop
when channel 2 is selected. In the center position the loop can be
switched on and off via the second footswitch button. The down
position will switch off the loop when channel 2 is selected.
Loop Function Indicator:
Illuminates when Loop is active.
Rear Panel
Send Jack:
Use this jack to "send" the pre amp signal to any effects
unit or pedal.
Return Jack:
Conect the "output" signal from the effects unit or pedal
here to mix with the pre amp signal.
Blend Control:
This knob controls the mix between the signal returning
from the effect (wet) and the original signal (dry).
Full anticlockwise: 0% wet signal, 100% dry signal.
Center: 50% wet signal, 50% dry signal.
Full clockwise: 100% Wet signal, 0% dry signal.
