1. Product description
The ProCharger 1000 is an advanced and intelligent battery charging, diagnosis
and test device for all 6 V (3 cells) and 12 V (6 cells) lead-acid, lead-gel, lead-fleece
(AGM), calcium and pure lead vehicle batteries. State-of-the-art characteristic-
controlled charging technology, in conjunction with an intelligent software controller,
ensures optimum charging and care at all times, and can even bring your battery back
to life. Eight LED displays permanently inform you of the current operating status.
The ProCharger 1000 is safeguarded against overload, pole reversal and short-circuit,
and is also spark-free.
The ProCharger 1000 is not suitable for charging Li-ion vehicle batteries.
Before you put the device into operation, read these operating instructions thoroughly.
This is the only way to familiarise yourself with all the functional options, prevent
incorrect operation and protect yourself and your device from possible damage as a
result of improper use.
2. Quick-start guide
Beforehand, read the Safety instructions and the points Preparation, connection
and operation.
1. Connect one of the charging cables (with charging clamps or ring connectors) to
the charger using a quick connector.
2. Connect the charging clamps or ring connectors to the battery with the correct
polarity (the black clamp (minus) to the vehicle chassis or the engine block when
the battery is installed).
3. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket. The “ ” LED lights up.
4. Select the required battery voltage (6 V or 12 V) within 5 seconds using the
MODE button. The charging process then starts automatically and the “ ”
LED lights up. The charging process is complete when the “ ” LED lights up.
Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
5. Disconnect the charging clamps from the battery (or the black charging clamp
from the vehicle chassis or engine block if the battery is installed) or disconnect
the charging cable with the ring connectors from the charger using a quick
connector.
