6.3 Cannot Charge Tablet
A warning indicating the tablet is not charging (6), is typically the
result of either the power adaptor not being well connected, the power
cord not having good connection in the power outlet, or the power
outlet being turned off. To resolve this please try the following:
– Make sure the power outlet is functioning (e.g. check by plugging
in another electrical device).
– Use a different power outlet.
– If USB Ethernet hub is connected, unplug it from the tablet. Unplug
the power adaptor from the USB Ethernet hub. Plug the power
adaptor to the USB Ethernet hub and then plug the USB Ethernet
hub to the tablet.
6.4 Video is Shaking
If images in your time-lapse recording appear to be shaking it is likely
due to a problem with the bearings of the incubator fan or a nearby
shaker (e.g. in a bottom incubator). To check this please place the
CytoSMART™ 2 Device outside of the incubator and start a project to
see if the shaking persists.
6.5 No Project Link Received
The CytoSMART™ 2 System requires a robust internet network
connection (WiFi or LAN) to function properly. Faulty or slow internet
networks can cause delays in email notifications, image submission
to the cloud and project link transmission. If you’ve waited several
minutes and still do not receive a project link after you have started a
project, please do the following:
– Check to see if you entered the correct email address
– Check to see if your SPAM filter blocked the email
Alternatively, you could select an alternate email address with
different SPAM filters (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail).
6.6 Cleaning the CytoSMART™ Device
The CytoSMART™ 2 System requires minimal maintenance for reliable
operation. Disconnect the CytoSMART™ 2 Device from the tablet before
cleaning and disinfecting the case. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the
outer case with water or 70-80% ethanol.

Autoclaving will result in damage to the electronic system.

6.7 Removing Dust Particles from Cover Glass
If dark spots are visible in the displayed image in the absence of
microscopy objects they may be caused by dust and other particles
on the cover glass. Remove them by gently wiping the cover glass with
a soft cloth.
