Resetting the ECG Data
On the back side of the AfibAlert® is a small hole providing access to the reset button.
This symbol and arrow on the back label point to that access hole that allows the ECG
data to be erased from device memory. This will erase all saved ECG data stored in the
memory. It is not necessary to reset the device after each test. New tests automatically
replace the oldest data.
1.
Press and release the Black Power button. The AfibAlert
®
will emit a high-low beep.
2.
As shown in the picture below, immediately insert a paper clip, ball point pen, or similar item into
the recessed area. The recorder will beep once.
5.1 Insert paper clip into hole to erase all data.
3.
All four icons will illuminate up for 10 seconds, after which only the GREEN icon will remain lit for
another 30 seconds.
4.
After 30 seconds, the recorder will beep and the GREEN icon will turn off. The AfibAlert
®
automatically shuts off and all recordings have been deleted from memory.
