 Defrosting

To defrost, follow the steps below:

1.  Open the door and place your food inside.
2.  Close the door firmly; it will click.
3.  Turn the POWER dial to the   DEFROST/M.Low

setting.

4.  Turn the TIMER dial to the weight of the food

to be defrosted, e.g., 0.2 kg. (The equivalent

defrost time is “3 minutes”.)

5.  The microwave will automatically begin

defrosting the food.

6.  When the defrosting time has passed, the unit

will sound.

7.  Switch off the microwave by ensuring the

TIMER dial is set to “0” (zero).

If the door is opened during defrosting, the

unit will automatically stop. Close the door

to continue defrosting.

If the unit is not in use, always set the

TIMER dial to “0” (zero). Operating the unit

without food in it can result in overheating

and damage the magnetron.

•  You may wish to place the frozen food on a microwave-safe plate or dish before placing it

on the rack (not supplied). This is to ensure that any liquids during defrosting will not spill

and dirty the interior of the microwave.

•  Large items may be frozen in the centre. To ensure even thawing, turn them over from time

to time and break them into smaller pieces during defrosting. Place roasts fat-side down or

whole poultry breasts side down. Drain liquids during defrosting as the juices from food can

get hot and cook the food.

•  The density and thickness of food can affect its cooking time. Ensure all food is piping hot

and cook thoroughly before serving. It is essential that food is checked during and after

cooking.

•  When removing from the microwave, please ensure that the microwave has stopped.
•  Operating the microwave without food in it can result in overheating and damage the

magnetron.
