UNPACKING
Remove all packaging from the blender. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it
please do so according to any local regulations.
The following items are included:
• The Main Unit
• Blender Jug (P.N.: HY1101G003)
• Blender Jug Cover (P.N.: HY1101G002)
• Stopper / Measuring Cup (P.N.: HY1101G005)
• Insturction Manual (P.N.: L16BS11-002)
PREPARING AND FILLING THE INGREDIENTS
1. Cut the ingredients into 25mm (1”) cubes before placing them into the blender jug.
If the food is very solid or dry, cut the pieces into smaller cubes.
2. Fill the blender jug with the ingredients.
3. Do not overfill the jug. The maximum capacity is 1600 ml, but we suggest you do
not exceed 1250 ml. If you are preparing a large quantity use several smaller
batches.
4. If the ingredients are very dry, put some liquid into the jug. You should never try to
reduce dry ingredients in the blender.
FITTING THE LID
1. Place the lid on the top of the jug and pull the lid.
FITTING THE STOPPER
The stopper has an integral measuring cup
useful for measuring small amounts of
ingredients.
Place the stopper in the slots in the lid and
turn clockwise to lock.
To avoid splashing, always operate the
blender with the stopper firmly in place.
OPERATION
1.
Make sure the jug and the lid are secure and in the LOCK position.
2.
Set the selector switch to ‘0’.
3.
Plug your blender into the mains and switch on the power.
AFTER USE
After you have finished blending:
1.
Set the Speed Selector to ‘0’.
2.
Hold the jug by the handle and carefully turn it clockwise (towards you) to
release the jug. (This may be easier with one hand on the base and one hand
holding the jug handle).
3.
To pour out the contents, rotate the lid of the jug anticlockwise to free it and
then lift off the lid. Pour or spoon the contents out carefully.
4. Unplug the blender from the mains socket.
FIRST TIME USE
1. Before using your blender for the first time, wash the jug, blade assembly, lid
and
stopper. Rinse throughly and dry.
2.
Place the base unit on a stable surface, free from heat and moisture and within
easy reach of a mains socket. The mains cable should not be taut.

Do not run the appliance continuously for more than 3 minutes. After a full
3 minute cycle allow the blender to rest for another 5 minutes before
using it again.
• Always operate blender
with cover in place.
FITTING THE JUG TO THE BASE UNIT
Place the jug on the blade assembly as shown.
The jug will fit only one way round. If the jug is
not properly fitted to the base the blender will
not start.
The lid must be secured to the jug
and the jug to the base otherwise
the blender will not operate!
• Do not run the appliance continuously for more than 3 minutes.
After a full 3 minute cycle allow the blender to rest for another 5
minutes before using it again.
• Never blend very hot liquids in the blender. This is dangerous as the
contents may erupt.
• If you spill liquid on the blender base immediately switch off and
wipe dry
During blending, you can feed in small amounts of food or liquid through the jug
lid. To do this:
1. Hold the lid.
2.
Turn the stopper slowly anti-clockwise to free it and then lift it out.
3.
Gradually feed pieces of food or liquids into the jug through the feeder.
4. Fit the stopper back when you have finished.
Blender's Operation Modes
• Select the desired operating speed. There are 2
speeds. Move the Speed Selector progressively to
the right to increase the speed. When you start
blending use a low speed to begin with and
gradually increase the speed if necessary.
• To stop the operation, turn the Speed Selector
back to ‘0’.
Use this mode when ingredients need to be
blended in small repeated bursts.
• Turn the Speed Selector to ‘P’ and hold it there for
a short period of time.
• To stop the operation, release the Speed Selector
which will then automatically return to ‘0’.
