Position 1
- Locked, water resistant position. Crown screwed in completely.
Position 2
- Turn Crown counterclockwise until released from threads.
Pull out to middle position as illustrated to set date.
Position 3
- Turn Crown counterclockwise until released from threads.
Pull out to outer position as illustrated to set time.

Setting the TIME and DATE:
Refer to Crown Positions illustrated on page 4.
Note:
Your L.L. Bean watch is set to Position 1 at the factory,
which insures water resistant timekeeping.
TURN the crown counterclockwise to unscrew the
crown from the case.
PULL the crown to position 3 and rotate the hands
until the calendar window displays the next day.
PUSH the crown to position 2 and rotate the crown counterclockwise to adjust
the date to the correct day.
PULL crown out to position 3 to set the correct time.
PUSH the crown to position 1 and while turning it clockwise to screw the crown
back to its original position. Crown should seat tightly against the case.
