Remember that if the designer or the installer checks the need to change the frequency of the checks,
reducing the time between them, he has the right to intervene with a specific note respectively in the
Roofing Technical Paper or in the Installation File. Livith recommends to always contact a qualified
technician or Livith SpA in case of extraordinary maintenance of the device.
Livith declines all responsibility due to the system reuse following a fall if a complete
maintenance operation has not been carried out.
The ordinary maintenance procedure for the fall arrest systems shown in this Manual is illustrated below:

Consult all documentation to know the
system and the specific maintenance
procedure
Visually inspect the devices and the
coverage parts where they are placed
Wear and presence of corrosion of device components
Abnormal deformations of the rope or of the device components
Deformation/integrity of the fall arrest indicator
Identifiability of components through the marking
Inspect the devices and all their
components with specific instruments
(e.g. torque wrench)
Revise and maintain the basic structures
and anchors as indicated in the
Installation Sheet and/or in the Roofing
Technical Paper.
Control the correct assembly of the system.
Verify the efficiency of possible moving parts.
Provide for adequate report of the
intervention carried out
Replacement of anchor devices
and new certification
Waterproofing in the housing area of the device
Presence of water infiltrations or dips due to possible stagnations
Presence of woodworms, molds and state
of cleanliness/degradation of the device area
