Track Power (continued)
To power the lamps through an Accessory Power Wire (available separately, 6-12053) on a
FasTrack layout, attach the quick connects to the tabs on the underside of the track and twist
the bare ends of the wire to the lamp wires. Use electrical tape or wire nuts (not included) to
insulate the connection. Refer to Figure 2.
Transformer/Power supply
Y
ou may also use a transformer or a separate accessory power supply to power your
Gooseneck Lamps. Simply connect one wire to the Power/A terminal and the other wire to
the Common/Ground/U terminal on the power supply.

Operating your Mainline Gooseneck Lamps
O
nce the lamps are wired, secure them to the layout by inserting two screws into the holes
in the base. Vary the voltage to control the lamps. Increase the voltage to make the lamps
shine brighter; decrease the voltage to dim the lamps. Keep in mind that the bulbs will last
longer at lower voltages.
