LEGACY™ Control System Engine Memory Module
T
his unique Engine Memory Module contains the specific system information and options
for your new Lionel® LEGACY™ Control System-equipped locomotive. After you have pro-
grammed your locomotive's new address following the instructions included in this manual, follow
these instructions to load this information from the Module to the LEGACY Control System via your
CAB-2 Remote Controller. This is a step that you perform only once.
Note!
LCS SensorTrack
TM
(6-81294) can also be used to perform this process. To upload the
information from the locomotive to the cab, simply run the locomotive across the
SensorTrack
TM
. Neither the orange module nor any further programming is required.
All of the information is now loaded in your CAB-2.
1. Using your CAB-2 Remote Controller, address your Lionel LEGACY Control System-equipped
locomotive with its engine
ID#.
2. Press
INFO.
3. Insert the Engine Memory Module into the CAB-2 Remote Controller.
4. Press
LOAD MODULE.
5. Verify that the Engine Memory Module information is correct for your selected engine. If the
information is correct, press
YES
to finish the download process for your engine.
6. An
ENGINE DATA LOADED
message will be displayed. Remove the Engine Memory
Module.
7. Press the red
CTC
button to return to your operating screen.
Power your locomotive with an alternating-current (50-60Hz AC) transformer only. Powering your
locomotive with a direct-current (DC) transformer, or in excess of 19 volts AC, may result in damage
to sensitive electronic components.
Refer to your LEGACY Control System Operations manual to learn how to operate your locomotive in
the LEGACY Control System environment.
