Operating your train set

Triggering announcements with your LionChief remote control

Y

our locomotive plays a variety of announcements that are designed to match the way you play 
with the locomotive. You can trigger an announcement that corresponds to each part of the 

journey.

Once your set is ready to start running,

Press the announcement button and an intro 
announcement will play. 

When your locomotive is Stopped

Stopped Announcement 1
Stopped Announcement 2
Stopped Announcement 3

When your locomotive is Moving

Moving Announcement 1
Moving Announcement 2
Moving Announcement 3

Replays again if no other actions are made 
for 2 minutes

Announcement 2 & 3 will repeat

Announcement 2 & 3 will repeat

When you have stopped moving, an additional 
announcement will play

Coupling

W

hen coupling your cars, at least one of the mating couplers must be open as shown at the left 
in Figure 5. Press down on the lock release to open the coupler, then push the cars toward 

each other until they lock together.

Keep in mind that it’s easier to couple cars on a straight section of track.
