Setup
Step 1 - add Klimax DSM to network
1.1 Connect the Klimax DSM and power the unit on using the switch
(under front-right corner)
1.2 The Klimax DSM control dial will show a shimmering pattern for
approx. 30seconds before changing to a Linn logo

add network control & setup
2.1 Install Kazoo on your PC, Mac, Android phone or Apple iPhone/iPad from

2.2 Launch Kazoo app and it will detect any DS players connected to the network and
automatically select the first discovered DS player - if none is displayed, check the Room
Selection menu, (top centre), or go into setting and check you are on the same ethernet
network, (subnet) as you Linn Klimax DSM.
2.3 When you have a room selected press the Bookstack icon
on the top left and select
settings. In this menu select
Linn Account
and sign into your Linn Account. (If you do not
have one then you can create by pressing the
Sign up…
link.)

ADD
you Klimax DSM to your Linn Account and proceed to Step 3.
Step 3 - run Manage Systems
3.1 Open a web browser and go to address:
https://www.linn.co.uk/account/music-systems
and login using your Linn Account (as per 2.2 above)
3.2 Select your Klimax DSM from this list, as this is a new product it will be called
“
MAIN
ROOM
”
. This will now allow to configure the Klimax DSM, including naming the Room
and any connected sources..
3.3 If you have Exakt speakers connected to the Klimax DSM then these can be setup in the
General tab in the Devices section. You will need to assign which Exakt loudspeaker is
assigned to the left and right hand channels.

Step 4 - play music
You can use the Kazoo App as loaded in Step2 as well as control using the dial and PIN
buttons:
4.1 Press this control dial down briefly to bring the Klimax DSM out of Standby.
4.2 Rotate the dial clockwise/anti-clockwise to turn volume Up/Down
4.3 To go into Standby press the dial CENTRE and continue to press the CENTRE for
approximately 2 seconds until the volume indicator dial starts to decrease.
4.4 Select the Radio source by
4.4.1 Pressing the bottom of the dial, (closest to the front of the Linn DS), this will show
the source listing.
4.4.2 Press the dial top or bottom to scroll up or down the list

.4.3 Highlight ‘Radio’ then press the dial ri
ght to select this source, or left to cancel
4.4.4 Use the same dial up/down to scroll through the Radio pre-sets and press dial right
to select or dial left to cancel.
4.5 Select source by
4.5.1 Pressing the bottom of the dial, (closest to the front of the Linn DS), this will show
the source listing.
4.5.2 Press the dial top or bottom to scroll up or down the list
4.5.3 Highlight the source you want then press the dial right to select this source, or dial
left to cancel
4.6 To PLAY/STOP/PAUSE a quick press of the dial CENTRE will toggle between PLAY and
STOP/PAUSE. (Radio-PLAY/STOP, Playlist-PLAY-PAUSE).
4.7 to Skip tracks/pre-sets a quick press of the dial LEFT or RIGHT jump to Playlist tracks or
Radio stations.
