2 - USE OF

NERTAJET 40i
must be configured as follows :
Cycle:
it must be set to the Grid cutting mode position (position 2).
Intensity:
it must be adjusted in relation with the diameter of the nozzle fitted on the plasma torch.
Recommended intensity value depending on the diameter:
0.8 nozzle: 20 to 30 A
1.0 nozzle: 50 A
1.2 nozzle: 70 A
1.4 nozzle: 90 A
1.6 nozzle: 100 to 120 A
Air pressure:
adjusted at the rear of the machine on the regulator filter.
On the front of the power source, press OK several times to go to the gas test mode :
Air will then be discharged at the torch and the pressure will be shown on the power source screen.
The pressure must always be set to
5 bars +/- 0.2.
If the pressure is too low:
Cooling and nozzle protection are not optimum. The life of the nozzle is thus reduced.
When THC is activated, the torch tends to move up and increase the bevel angle
If the pressure is too high:
Cutting quality is lower.
When THC is activated, the torch tends to move down towards the plate and damage the cap or the
nozzle.
