Both the LINKHD Transmitter L1403 and the Link HD Receiver is configured by the operator
using a menu structure displayed on LCD display , six membrane push buttons are used to
navigate through these menus and select the required data. Please see the manual for
details of the menu structure.

The left / right buttons are used to select the required top level menu, as indicated by the
‘tabs’ at the top of the display. The up / down buttons are then used to scroll to the
required sub-menu option.

Enter will then select the option or Cancel will exit back to the level above without
selecting or changing the settings.
Setting up the LinkHD Receiver L2132
-
Check and set the frequency (make sure you are using the correct downconverters
o
OFDM Menu> Input Frequency
-
Check and set power to the downconverters
o
Decode Menu > DownConv – select downcoverter type
o
Unit Menu > LNB power – select on
-
Check and set Power On Default Video ( prior to lock this defines the HD format of the SDI
output)
o
Decode Menu > Pwr Video- select HD format
If the Camera Control option (L1255) is fitted:-

Check and set the Camera type
o
CCU > Camera Type- select camera type
-
Check and set Camera Control path frequency
o
CCU > FRE - select Frequency
Note:- Menu will only appear if the CCU Unit L1255 is connected to the Receiver L2132
Setting up of the LinkHD Transmitter

Check and set the frequency
o
Status page > Frequency – set frequency

Check and set Modulation (for quality of picture)
o
Status page > Modulation – select modulation standard

Check and set the Modulation System
o
Advance Page > Unit > LMS-T (currently the only receiver mode (05/07)

Check and set output on (this will turn the RF
o
Setup Page > Output – set on

Check and set HD Input format
o
Advanced Page > HD Input – select HD input type.

Check the Audio parameter
o
Advanced Page > Audio – select parameters as required.
If the Camera Control option (L1255) is fitted:-
- Check and set the Camera type
o
Setup Page > Camera Control > Camera Type - select camera type

Check and set Camera Control path frequency
o
Setup Page > Camera Control > FRE - select Frequency
Additional Information
1) Check reverse path data speed must be set to 9600 baud (Link Control Software only in
diagnostic mode WCBAU;3; NOTE:- Check after resetting defaults )
2) Most manufacturers cameras will need modifying or the system will need specific additional
equipment. Check with Link Support as additional technical information is available for specific
products ( See Web)
3) Tally on Grass Valley currently require an additional hardware interface and updated software in
the camera head and the OCP.
