Why do I need to charge my
collar before the first use?
The collar uses lithium ion batteries which are not
allowed to be shipped fully charged, but perfectly
safe for your furry friend.
How tight should the Collar be on
my dog’s neck?
The tracking Unit will stay in place on your Collar
Carrier so the collar should fit snuggly on your
dogs neck. Just like most collars, you should be
able to fit two fingers between your dog’s neck
and the collar.
How often should I charge my
Tracking Unit?
GPS is battery-intensive, so we suggest charging
your LINK AKC every night.
Why is there a service plan?
Service plans are required to communicate
with the LINK AKC collar. It enables data to be
transmitted from the Tracking Unit to a cellular
network which allows you to use features such
as the GPS, location & adventures, temperature,
and much more.
What is a three-axis
accelerometer?
Similar to a human wearable, the Tracking Unit
knows when it’s moving to keep a good track of
your dogs activity levels.
