5   Maintenance and repair 

5.1   Safety guidelines for maintenance and 

repair 

Prior to maintenance always comply with the instructions in the 

“Safety” section as well (see section 1, page 7). 

 

WARNING! 

If  other  persons  unexpectedly  start  up  the  weed  brush,  there 

are a number of injury hazards. 
 

Therefore: 

•

 

Unplug the spark plug connector for maintenance tasks.

 

WARNING! 

Danger  of  injury  due  to  dismounted  protective  devices  and 

safety devices. 

If protective devices and safety devices are dismounted they no 

longer fulfil their function. 

Therefore: 

•

  Always remount protective devices and safety devices after 

they  have  been  dismounted  (for  example,  for  service  and 

maintenance purposes). 

 

 

 

 

WARNING! 

The  weed  brush  poses  significant  hazards  for  non-specialised 
persons. 

Therefore: 

•

 

Only  have  maintenance  and  repair  tasks  executed  by  a 

specialist  workshop. This particularly applies for maintenance 
and repair tasks on the motor and V-belt drives and the brush 
head.
