OPERATIONS
1. Zero Setting (picture 1a-1d)
Calibrate and adjust the micrometer before use for the first time.
1.1 Turn the spindle to end position or against the setting ring.
1.2 Adjust the sleeve with a spanner to exact 0- position, lock the screw.
Calibrate the micrometer regularly depends on the frequency of the use and
circumstance of environment.
2. Measure (picture 2a)
2.1 Insert the measuring tips into the area that needs to be measured.
2.2 Turn the ratchet stop clockwise until it starts clicking, read the value.
3. Maintenance
3.1 Clean the measuring surface with a dry rag or a sheet of paper, avoid scratching
the measuring surface.
3.2 Shocks, impacts, drops etc can damage the micrometer. Lubricate all metallic
parts with fine oil to guaranty a good mechanical function and avoid rust.
