Serial Protocol
It sets the sequence of the characters that are sent when you use the serial
output for cyclic data transmission under timer control (see the parameter
; xxxxxx is the measuring value that is transmitted). The length of
the transmitted value depends on its current value.
Both print formats are shown in the following table:
Serial Timer
It sets the cycle time for cyclic transmission when the PRINTER MODE is
enabled. Value is expressed in seconds and ranges between 0.001 and 99.999.
If “0” is set, cyclic transmission is disabled and the unit will send data only upon
request (PC MODE).
NOTE
The serial port of the unit can operate in either “PC MODE” or “PRINTER MODE”.
In PC MODE the unit receives a request string and responds with a
corresponding data string. For details about the protocol see the specific manual
“MAN Serial Protocol IFxx_LD25x_LD30x I_E.pdf”, it can be downloaded from
the web site.
In PRINTER MODE the unit sends data without any request and under Timer
control according to the value set next to this parameter
. As soon
as the unit receives a character, it automatically switches over to PC MODE and
operates according to the protocol. When no character has been received for a
period of 20 seconds, the unit switches automatically back to PRINTER MODE
and starts cyclic data transmission again.
