DMX TERMINATION
A DMX chain should be terminated at the last
receiving device on the chain. This is done by
installing a commonly available 1/4 Watt, 120 Ohm
resistor across the DATA - and DATA + wires at the
last device. If you have only a few fixtures very close
together and a very short run to the controller then you
may be able to operate without the terminator.
OPERATION
A power ON/OFF switch is located at the rear of the
unit. A control panel on the back of the unit is used to
set the operating options. It consists of an LED display
and four buttons
(ESC, ENTER, DOWN, and UP)
.
Use
UP
and
DOWN
to scroll the available choices.
Push
ENTER
when you reach the option you want to
check or set. The current setting for the option will be
shown. Use
UP
and
DOWN
to change the setting.
Push
ENTER
to invoke the new setting. Use
ESC
to
exit from the sub menus.
DMX OPERATION
Use the
A - - -
menu to set the unit DMX starting
address. The range is
r001 - r511.
NOTE
The current version of the FXLD120EW will not
respond to DMX addresses above 255 even though
the addressing menu allows selections up to 511.
The fixture uses two DMX channels allocated as
follows:
CHANNEL 1:
Fixture Intensity (000 - 255)
CHANNEL 2:
Strobe Control (000 - 255)
