Preliminary Manual

35

RDM operation

The Laserlink supports RDM operation. RDM is Remote Device Management.

While DMX-512 is unidirectional protocol RDM can communicate with the device via the standard
DMX cable.

When RDM is enabled the protocol inserts data packets into the DMX-512 stream.

For this the RDM controller can send and receive commands/messages from the Laserlink.

Software like

Super Nova

from

Lumenradio

can be used for configuration.

GrandMA2 Software is faulty. There are no negative values possible.

Here is an overview of the RDM commands:
