When the Trackit application has established the Bluetooth connection, a connection quality monitor labelled
“Comms.Q” is displayed in the status bar at the bottom left of the main screen, as shown below.

This number given as a percentage is an approximate indication of the amount of data received as a ratio to that
expected, calculated every second. It is most likely to drop below 100% when either device is at the limit of the
transmission range or when either antenna is adversely obscured or under the influence of interference. It will be
noticed that the wireless transmission will use its available bandwidth to try to “catch-up” after a drop in signal
quality and the indication can read more than 100% momentarily. A reading, therefore, of less than 100% does not
necessarily mean a permanent bad connection since data flow can increase shortly afterwards. A sustained low
value over several seconds will cause the Trackit application to close the connection. If the Autoconnect feature
has been enabled in Options, the application will automatically attempt to reconnect to the T4 every 10 seconds.
