STEP 3:
ADMINISTRATION BUTTON FUNCTIONALITY
THE ADMINISTRATION BUTTON HAS THREE FUNCTIONS:
• Memory reset
• Fingerprint enrollment initiation.
(HDV-150X ONLY)
• 5-digit code entry.
LOCATION
The Administration Button is located
on top of the inner bezel (image).
ENTERING A FINGERPRINT
(HDV-150X ONLY)
To enter a fingerprint, press the “Administration Button” until you hear
one beep, release your finger, then place the finger you want to enter into
the system on the scanner.
The blue light will turn green, and the system will beep. Lift your finger
and repeat two more times (three total). The third time, the green light
and beep will last slightly longer indicating the scan is complete.
If the scan is unsuccessful, the blue light will turn red, and you will
hear a triple beep.
The system will hold up to 30 fingerprints.
If a 31st fingerprint is entered, the blue light will turn red, and you will
hear a triple beep.
ENTERING A 5-DIGIT CODE
To enter a 5-digit code, press the “Administration Button”. You will hear
a single beep, then a double beep, release your finger. Enter the 5-digit
code you desire. A double beep will indicate the new code is set.
The system will only hold one code at a time.
CLEARING STORED FINGERPRINTS AND CODES
To return the system back to factory settings (12341 and any fingerprint.
HDV-150X ONLY for fingerprints.) Press and hold the Administration
Button until you hear a single beep – double beeps – and a final longer,
single beep.
The system is cleared of existing codes and fingerprints and ready
to reprogram to your needs.
