Indoor Unit - Cleaning Intervals
Clean the product regularly to maintain optimal performance and to prevent possible breakdown. Refer to Figure 14 for proper filter place-
ment. Refer to Table 6 for detailed instructions on maintenance. Review all safety instructions at the front of this manual, and adhere to all
warnings and notes on this page before proceeding with maintenance.

Air filter
Turn off power and unplug the cord before performing any maintenance to avoid electric shock.
• The location and shape of the filter may vary depending on the model.
• Be sure to clean the heat exchanger coils of the outdoor unit regularly. Dirt collected in the coils may decrease the operational efficiency
or increase energy costs.

Use steam to clean the heat exchanger coils and the panel vents. If
needed, consult with a technician on proper outdoor unit care.
Maintenance Precautions
• Never use water that is hotter than 104 °F (40 °C) when cleaning filters. It may cause deforming (warping) or discoloration.
• Never use volatile substances when cleaning filters. They may damage the surface of the product.
