1. Application Scope
These instructions are applied to Super Slim and FLAT CRT
TV with CW71A Chassis..
2. Notes
(1) Because this is not a hot chassis, it is not necessary to
use an isolation transformer. However, the use of isolation
transformer will help protect test instrument.
(2) Adjustments must be done in the correct order.
(3) Surrounding adjustment codition:Adjustment is done in the
following condition unless specially designated.
1) Temperature: 25±5°C
2) Relative humidity: 65% ±10%
3) Power Voltage: 220Vac ±10%
(4) The receiver must be operated for about 15 minutes prior
to the adjustment.
(5) Signal: The standard color signal is approved in 65±1
dBuV
The standard color signal means refers to the digital pattern
signal: EU05CH(PAL/E-5) of LGE standard Digital signal.
3. Software downloads (In case of
download JIG using I 2 C)
(1) Execute ISP program “MStar ISP Utility” and then click
“Config” tab.
(2) Set as below, and then click “Auto Detect” and check “OK”
message
If “Error” message is displayed, check connection of
computer, jig and set.
(3) Click “Connect” tab. If “Error” message is displayed, check
connection of computer, jig and set.
(4) Click “Read” tab, and then load download file(XXXX.bin)
by clicking “Read”.
(5) Click “Auto” tab and set as below
(6) Click “Run”
(7) After downloading, check “OK” message.
4. EDID (Extended Display
Identification Data) downloads
(1) Connect HDMI Signal Cable to HDMI Jack.
- Download and test Jig: ENC tech – USB to I2C
converter
(2) Connect Jig to P109 in order to activate WRITE
CONTROL of /WC pin of EEPROM (IC102).
Write EDID DATA to EDID EEPROM (24C02, IC102 of
Digital Assy) by using EDID tester program.
(3) Check whether written EDID data is correct or not. (Refer
to Product spec).
And then, pull away Jig Pin from P109.
4-1. EDID DATA (256 Bytes):
These data is applied for only Digital EDID.
5. Temporary Screen Voltage
Adjustment
(1) Press ADJ KEY of SVC T/X and select 2.SCREEN ADJ
key to make horizontally straight line,
(2) Adjust Screen volume until straight line might not be seen.
6. Check Hold Down Operation.
(Option: this test is applied only
for USA models)
