12. Sounds and voices

12.1 About sounds and voices

Your MoveOn device uses sound for some or all of the following:
•    Driving directions and other route instructions
•    Traffic information
•    Warnings that you set

There are two types of voice available for your device:
• Computer voices

Computer voices are generated by your device. They provide route instructions and read
aloud city and street names, traffic and other useful information.

• Human voices

These are recorded by an actor and only provide route instructions.

12.2 Selecting a voice

To select a different voice on your Lexus CT MoveOn Navi device, do the following:
• In the

Change preferences

menu, select ”Voice preferences” and then ”Change voice”.

12.3 Changing the volume level

You can change the volume on your Lexus CT MoveOn Navi device by press the left soft button (6)
when in the Driving View.

12.4 Switching off the sound

To turn off the sound, select ”Change preferences” in the Main menu, then select ”Turn off
sound”.
You can also press the centre button on the Navigation Control, then select ”Disable voice”.
To turn the sound back on, select ”Turn on sound”.

12.5 Switching off the voice

To switch off voice guidance instructions, select ”Change preferences”, then select ”Turn off
sound”.
