Paper jam in the ADF

Note:

The parts inside the printer are sensitive. Avoid unnecessarily touching these parts while clearing jams.

1.

Open the ADF cover, and then gently pull out the jammed paper.

Note:

Make sure the ADF cover is fully opened to ensure that the jammed paper is properly removed.

Note:

Be careful not to tear the paper while removing it.

2.

Close the ADF cover.

Note:

Make sure there is no paper on the ADF input tray before closing the ADF cover.

3.

Touch

DONE

4.

Resume the copy, scan, or fax job.

Follow the animated instructions on the screen. Check the ADF cover, ADF input
tray, and ADF exit tray for any jammed media. Remove any jammed media. Turn
off the printer by unplugging the power cord. Wait for 10 seconds, then turn on the
printer. If the problem remains, then replace the printer.
