leads to the Reenter Password screen, and

Configuration Security screen.
For the Reenter Password screen, use the alphanumeric keyboard screen to reenter your
password:
If the passwords from Enter Password and Reenter Password screens match,
Configuration changes have been submitted
appears. The password or password
change is submitted, and then you are returned to the
Default Menus
screen.
If you select
Cancel
, you are returned to the Configuration Security screen and no changes
for the password are submitted.
If the passwords from Enter Password and Reenter Password do not match, an error beep
occurs, and the
Passwords did not match
screen displays. You have a choice of selecting
Enter password again
or
Cancel security change
. If you select
Enter password
again
, you return to the Enter Password screen. If you select
Cancel security change
,
you return to the Default Menus screen.
If the two entries match, but are blank, an error beep sounds and
Password needed for
protecting menus
displays with two choices of
Enter password
and
Do not protect
menus
.
Entering a password
When a password is needed to access a menu or menu item, the Enter Password screen
appears. On each Enter Password screen, the characters appear as asterisks. There is a
limit of eight characters for passwords. If more than eight characters are entered, an error
beep sounds.
