16. MAINTENANCE
The LEVITAS devices by MORETTI are checked carefully and supplied with EC mark, once
launched on the market.
The products are intended to offer safe and reliable operation when used or installed according to
the instructions provided by Apex Medical. Apex Medical recommends that the system be inspected
and serviced by authorized technicians if there are any signs of wear or concerns with device func-
tion. Otherwise, service and inspection of the devices generally should not be required.
1. Check main power cord and do not plug it if there is an abrasion or excessive wear
2. Check mattress cover for signs of wear or damage. Ensure mattress cover and tubes
are stubbed together correctly
3. Check the airflow from the air hose. The airflow should alternate between each connector
every half-cycle time
4. Check the air hoses if there is kink or breaks. For replacement, please contact Apex
Medical Corp. or your suppliers
17. CONDITIONS OF DISPOSAL
17.1 General conditions of disposal
In case of disposal don’t use the inserting container for municipal waste. We recommend to dispose
the thermometer in the appropriate disposal areas for recycling.

17.2 Information for the correct disposal of the product in accordance with European Directive
2012/19/UE:
At the end of its life, the product must not be disposed of along with other domestic waste. The users
must dispose of this equipment by bringing it to a specific recycling point for electric and electronic
equipment or at retailers that provide this service. By ensuring these batteries are disposed of cor-
rectly, you will help prevent potentially negative consequences for the environment and human health
which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of the battery. To remark the need
to dispose of electrical equipment separately, the products is marked with crossed mobile waste bin
the product bears the barred bin symbol.

The mattress doesn’t inflate
• Check if the connection between mattress
and pump unit is tightly secured
• Check if there is any leakage on air cells
Mattress form is loose
• Check if all the snap buttons or straps of ma-
ttress are all securely fastened
• Check if the mattress is fixed to the bed frame by straps
No air produced from
some air outlets of the

• This is normal since there is alternating mode.
