Slide one (1) Fly Rod Adapter

onto each Wing Support Arm
and tighten the adjustment knob until snug [Fg. 2].
TIP
: The Fly Rod Adapters can be placed facing in any
direction and safely carry Fly Rod accessories, however it is
recommended that Fly Rod Adapters are installed so that they
mirror
each other (see figures 3, 4 & 5 for examples).
NOTE
: Nelson bicycle wheel cradles do not need to be
removed to install the Fly Rod Adapter. Images are shown
without bike wheel cradles for clarity only. Both bicycles and
user supplied Fly Rod accessories can be transported on the
same Wing so long as equipment does not exceed the weigh
limit.
Slide one (1) 1/4-20 Bolt

through the hole in the center of
one (1) Tie-off Plate

NOTE:
The 1/4-20 Bolt should enter the Plate through the side
of the plate
without
the square indentation.
Thread one (1) Star Nut
[C]
onto the end of the 1/4-20 Bolt
[D]
so that its sits with .25in of bolt exposed at the end. [Fg. 7]
NOTE:
The direction of the Star Nut is important and should
have its “fins” point towards the Tie-off Plate
[D]
.
Repeat these steps for the remaining 1/4-20 Bolt
[D]
, Tie-off Plate
[B]
and Star Nut
[D]
.
Press each newly created Tie-off Assembly
[B, C, D]
into the open ends
of the Wing Support Arms until the square indentation on the bottom the
Tie-off Plate
[B]
full seats onto the Wing Support Arms. [Fg. 8]
NOTE:
The “Key Hole” on the Tie-off Plate
[D]
must face towards the
opposite Wing Support Arm.
