SAFE USE & MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES

CARE & STORE

•

We advise you to assemble this product at least once at home before going on a trip. Obtaining a familiarity with the

assembly process will help ensure your satisfaction and ease when setting up in the outdoors.

•

Always stake down shelter in order to achieve full structural integrity and prevent wind damage. Stake locations are

included on each corner of shelter, on guy lines, and on floor panel.

•

It is important to select a site which is clear of sharp objects such as rocks or sticks to prevent damage to modular tent

floor or personal injury. For additional comfort and protection, ground sheets and a variety of outdoor matting sold at

hardware stores may also be used.

•

This shelter is not designed for use as a permanent or temporary storage facility. Prolonged exposure to sunlight

causes UV damage to the fabric properties and is not covered by the limited warranty.

•

This product is not a toy and should not be used by children without adult supervision.

•

Never store tent while wet. If stored wet, mildew will occur in untreated areas. Mildew damage is not covered under

warranty. If closing camp in the rain, be sure to properly clean and dry tent at the soonest possible moment.

•

To clean and dry the tent, hand wash only using a mild dish washing soap and a sponge. Do not use harsh detergents

or chemicals. Then, allow the fabric to completely air dry. Do NOT/never machine wash or machine dry your tent!

•

Wipe down all parts including zippers, steel and fiberglass poles before putting away for next season’s use. Salts from

ocean air and humidity can cause decay when neglected.

•

Roll or fold the tent and modular end panels using the carry bag as a guide. Store all component parts including poles,

bungees, stakes in inner storage bag.

•

Store in a cool, dry place

Exercise extreme caution when using fuel-powered lanterns, cook stoves, or heaters inside the tent; screen door MUST remain

open for proper ventilation.

NEVER run the vehicle engine when the tent is attached. Engine must be off and exhaust must be fully cooled before tent

installation and use.

Allow adequate ventilation inside the tent at all times.

Keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent fabric. The tent is made with flame-resistant fabric which meets CPAI-84

specifications. This does not make it fireproof. The fabric will burn if left in contact with any flame source.

To prevent carbon monoxide from entering the vehicle and tent area, do not run the engine, do not cook inside the tent, and do

not use a gas heater in the tent or other fuel-burning devices. Carbon monoxide is dangerous to your health and life threatening.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE WARNINGS MAY CAUSE ASPHYXIATION, CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING, AND DEATH

OR SERIOUS AND PERMANENT INJURIES

This fabric is highly water-repellent; however, it is not waterproof under extreme, prolonged inclement weather conditions. All

tents can experience seam leakage. For additional moisture protection, use seam sealing compound only. Applying sprays/

chemical treatments to your shelter may compromise the original fire retardant and water-repellent protective coatings
