Step 1. Press the fan cage bracket to the front of the server.
Step 2. Position the system fan so that the airflow arrow on the fan points toward the rear of the server, and

insert the fan into the bracket. Ensure that the fan is fully seated in its slot in the fan bracket.

Note:

The correct airflow is from the front to the rear of the server.

Step 3. Connect the fan cable to the system board.

Complete the parts replacement. See “Complete the parts replacement” on page 164.
