1. Connect the DVI-I to VGA adapter to the DVI-I video output connector on the dock. Tighten the two
screws on the DVI-I to VGA adapter.

2. Connect the VGA connector of the external monitor to the DVI-I to VGA adapter by using a VGA cable.
You can adjust video settings to customize the use of the dock. For more information, see “Working with
the dock utility” on page 12.
Note: For better performance, occasionally adjust the external monitor to realign its settings with the video
output of the dock. For more information about the adjustment procedure, refer to the documentation
that comes with your external monitor.
