Replacing the diskette drive

Attention

Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the

This section provides instructions on how to replace the diskette drive.

To replace the diskette drive:

1.

Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 14.

2.

Remove the front bezel. See “Removing and installing the front bezel” on page
15.

3.

Disconnect the signal cable and the power cable from the rear of the diskette
drive.

4.

Press the release button and slide the diskette drive out of the front of the
computer.
