replacement parts:

System board

USB board

USB board cable (70 pin)

USB board cable (48 pin)

Use a Golden Key U1 tool to flash-write key id information

After replacing the system board and re-assembling the computer, use a pre-made Golden Key U1 tool to
start the computer and flash-write the serial number (SN), machine type (MT), product name (PN), and UUID
to the new system board.

The Golden Key U1 tool is prepared by running the U1 Update software on a FAT32-formatted USB thumb
drive. Go to

for detailed instructions on how to create

and use a Golden Key U1 tool.

Remove the fingerprint board and cable

Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.

“Remove the lower case” on page 30

“Remove the battery pack” on page 31

“Remove the solid-state drive (SSD), thermal pad and bracket” on page 32

“Remove the fan” on page 34

“Remove the heat sink” on page 35

“Remove the LCD module” on page 37

“Remove the system board, USB board and cables” on page 39

Step 1. Peel off the tape. Remove one screw and then remove the fingerprint board and cable
