Settings

Setting the date and time

1.  Go to 

Settings > System > Date & time

.

2.  Do any of the following:

To use the network-provided time, turn the 

Automatic date & time

 switch on.

To set the date and time manually, turn the 

Automatic date & time

 switch off, and then tap 

Set

 date

 and 

Set time

 respectively.

To use the network-provided time zone, turn the 

Automatic time zone 

switch on.

To set the time zone manually, turn the 

Automatic time zone 

switch off, tap

 Select time zone

,

 and then choose a region and time zone.

If you want to use locale default time format, turn the

 Automatic 24-hour format

 switch on .

To switch between the 24-hour and 12-hour formats, turn the

 Automatic 24-hour format

 switch

 off, then turn the 

Use 24-hour format

 switch on or off.

Setting the language

1.  Go to 

Settings > System > Language & input > Language

.

2.  Tap and hold the display language that you want to use and move it to the top.

Setting the input method

1.  Go to 

Settings > System > Language & input > Virtual keyboard

.

2.  Select the input method that you want to use.

Setting a screen lock

Go to 

Settings > Security & Location > Screen lock

 to select a screen lock option and set up the

 screen lock.

Enabling app installation

Before you install apps that you downloaded from unknown sources, do all of the following:

1.  Go to 

Settings > Apps & Notifications > Advanced > Special App Access > Install unknown

 apps

.

2.  Select the source that you want, and then tap the 

Allow from this source

 switch to turn it on.

Setting the ringtone

You can define the default ringtone for incoming calls and notifications. You can also adjust the

 volume for each sound type.

Go to 

Settings > Sound

.

Performing a factory reset

1.  Go to 

Settings > System > Advanced > Reset Options > Erase all data (factory reset) 

.

2.  Tap

 RESET PHONE

, and then tap 

OK

 in the popped up dialog box.
