Replace a CRU

Follow the replacement procedure to replace a CRU.

Power cord

Prerequisite

Before you start, read Appendix A “Important safety information” on page 57and print the following
instructions.

Note:

Do not remove the power cord when the computer is connected to ac power. Otherwise, there might

be a risk of short circuits.

Replacement procedure

1. Turn off the computer and remove all connected peripheral devices and cables.

2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.

3. Disconnect the power cord from the computer.
