The
battery
normally
requires
no
charging
or
maintenance
throughout
its
life;
however,
no
battery
lasts
forever.
If
the
battery
fails,
the
date,
time,
and
configuration
information
(including
passwords)
are
lost.
An
error
message
is
displayed
when
you
turn
on
the
computer.

for
information
about
replacing
and
disposing
of
the
battery.
To
change
the
battery:
1.
Open
the
computer
cover.

2.
Pivot
the
drive
bay
assembly
upward
to
gain
access
to
the
system
board.

Locate
the
PCI
riser.

4.
Lift
the
PCI
riser
up
to
gain
access
to
the
battery.

5.
Locate
the
battery.

Install
the
new
