VI-MAINTENANCE
The unit should be inspected once a year by a qualified ser
vice technician.
WARNING
Electric shock hazard. Can cause
injury or death. Before attempting to
perform any service or maintenance,
turn the electrical power to unit OFF at
disconnect switch(es). Unit may have
multiple power supplies.
CAUTION
Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing
controls. Wiring errors can cause improper and dan
gerous operation. Verify proper operation after ser
vicing.
IMPORTANT
The Clean Air Act of 1990 bans the intentional vent
ing of refrigerant (CFC's and HCFC's) as of July 1,
1992. Approved methods of recovery, recycling or re
claiming must be followed. Fines and/or incarcera
tion may be levied for non-compliance.
A-Filters
Units are equipped with 20 X 24 X 2” temporary filters
which must be replaced prior to building occupation. Re
fer to local codes or appropriate jurisdiction for approved
filters.
To change filters, open filter access panel on back side of
unit. See figure 13. Lift filter stop to remove filters. See fig
ure 14.
WARNING
Units are shipped from the factory with temporary fil
ters. Replace filters before building is occupied.
Damage to unit could result if filters are not replaced
with approved filters. Refer to appropriate codes.
Approved filters should be checked monthly and replaced
when necessary. Take note of air flow direction marking on
filter frame when reinstalling filters. See figure 14.
NOTE-Filters must be U.L.C. certified or equivalent for use
in Canada.

B-Compressor
If Interlink compressor replacement is necessary, call
1-800-453-6669.
IMPORTANT
Some scroll compressors have an internal vacuum
protector that will unload scrolls when suction
pressure goes below 20 psig. A hissing sound will
be heard when the compressor is running un
loaded. Protector will reset when low pressure in
system rises above 40 psig. DO NOT REPLACE
COMPRESSOR.
C-Lubrication
All motors are lubricated at the factory. No further lubrica
tion is required.
