ADJUSTMENT OF MOWING HEIGHT LH AND RH
It is possible that the for and aft inclination and hence the mowing height of the LH conditioning unit varies with the height
of cut given by the RH mowing unit.
For this reason, a facility has been integrated into the machine to adjust the for and aft inclination of both conditioner units
independently of one another.
Normallly, the pivot pin of the break back device is connected to the headstock by means of a bushing with a central hole.
Instead, one of the bushings can be fitted with an eccentric hole. This allows adjustment of the forward or rearward
inclination of the conditioner unit to the inclination of the other conditioner unit. If necessary, an adjustment can be made
on both conditioner units.
The additional bushings are stored in the compartment in the support at the rear of the headstock.
Follow the instructions provided below:
- Couple the machine to the tractor.
- Put the machine in the working position.
- Hammer both roll pins out of the lower part of the pivot pin of the break back device.
- Turn the pivot pin 90°, so that the roll pin can be removed from the
bushing.
- Exchange the bushing with the central hole for the one with the
eccentric hole.
The parts can be aligned to one another by means of the tractor top
link and the parking jack fitted on the rear side.
Place the eccentric bushing in such a way that the conditioner unit
is adjusted in the right direction.
- Re-connect the bushing with the pivot pin by means of the roll pin
Ø13x80.
- Hammer the roll pin Ø13x80 back into the lower part of the pivot
pin.
- Hammer the roll pin Ø8x80 into the roll pin Ø13x80 in the lower
part of the pivot pin.
- Store the remaining bushings in the compartment in the support on
the rear of the headstock.
